This is my minimalism piece. The concept behind this was to show how the addiction of alcohol can make a person loose touch with society. The man is shown in solid in a solid black mass, showing that he is absent or left out in the more colors of the world. That he is a black sheep, or an outcast missing out on the world due to his desires. I wanted to use rough brush strokes, because I believe that it brings the piece to the next level. I used the colors Red and White which can symbolize love or passion and painted the man black to show his hollowness. Overall, this piece is pretty successful and if I could change anything I Would do something in the background off to the left of the man.
