This was my first piece done in class, It shows a sinner in the pits of hell. There is no light at all in this piece. The man on the left was just judged and cast into the pits of hell, as he screams he throws his arms towards heaven pleading for a second chance. But an answer does not come to him. As he begins to curse and say he will change a demon comes out of the darkness to drag the man away and torture him. As he is dragged along jagged rocks that cut into his flesh, he screams one last time for God, and after seeing no sign of his mercy, he accepts his fate and punishment. Overall this is a great piece and has an ample amount of texture to bring it out to the viewer and put it in his or her face. In a sense it suggests something and brings a question to ones mind that may be different to all others. I believe this piece is great and achieves what it is meant to.
